We've been keeping the grandkitties and grandpuppy this past week while our daughter and her family went on vacation to Florida. Our SIL's mom and fiance rented a condo with them by a beach and they all had a great time. We had a lot of fun too, with these fur babies.

The kitties are about 3 months old and are little balls of fire! They are into everything and play hard with each other, chasing around the house and wrestling before collapsing in a heap to sleep and recharge their batteries! The kittens are a new addition to our daughter's family and the dog still isn't sure what has happened to her world. She's a good girl and usually spends her days outside, but we bring her in when it gets hot. She's pretty easy going and easy to take care of, but the kittens are like having toddlers around the house! If you're wondering about the bar stools in the center of the room, we had to put them there to keep the kittens from launching off of them and onto the kitchen countertops. They have all been fun and entertaining, but we are ready for their family to come and take them back today! We haven't had a kitten around the house in many years (much less two!) and had forgotten what it's like. I think we may have been younger then!
Ha ha! I know what you mean. We have taken care of our "granddogs" for our kids, two cute pekingnese pups (about a year old now), and they are something else. We had a lot of fun with them, and the nice thing is they have a kennel you can put them in when they get too rambunctious. Kittens are a whole different story, I am sure. You are good grandparents to take care of them!
ReplyDeleteHow kind of you to take on the furry grands for a week! I formed a picture in my mind of the kittens launching themselves off the stools. Made me grin. Have a great ( peaceful) week.
ReplyDeleteThat sound like you had fun! We have two kittens down here at the ranch and we've enjoyed them. They are ranch cats so no cutting their claws. But they ARE kitties and tend to jum up on your lap or shoulders. Let's just say, love hurts!
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say - you've been busy with all of these little fuzzy faces! How cute and aren't they funny sometimes? Thank you so much for popping in to see me.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
