I've Broken Up....

...with almost all of the clothes that I can't wear, don't wear, will never wear. I filled three large trash bags with clothes that I've been hanging on to for years and they will go to a charity shop tomorrow. I also have one bag filled with stuff that just needed to be thrown away.  It feels wonderful-I've discovered all kinds of closet space! I just wish I knew why I hang onto stuff for so long. There were still a few favorites that I haven't worn in years that I just couldn't part with, but they are very few and have some memories attached to them.

Now to go shopping!!!  Now to sit down and decide exactly what I need and do some thoughtful planning and shopping!

Post-Debate Thoughts

...because so far this looks like the best choice.

Christmas Stitching

I know-it's 4 months until December, but I'm not a fast stitcher! I completed this Sue Hillis sampler last week and enjoyed it so much. I have a cozy spot on our recliner loveseat-just the right size to spread out all of my cross stitch paraphernalia and have a place to sit and put my feet up. I love sitting and stitching while watching TV with the hubby in the evening. Very calming and definitely a happy place for me.  (This is an internet picture-my phone camera doesn't like my shaky hands!)

I'm also working on a set of 12 days of christmas ornaments. (Sorry about the photo quality-I took these pictures.) It's an old pattern from a 2002 magazine and I'm having to do some of them from pictures as I'm missing two of the charts:

I'm looking forward to this chart coming in the mail this week:

Lot's to enjoy and keep busy!

Welcome September!

Although our leaves won't begin to turn for another 6 weeks or so, just changing the calendar to September makes me feel a little like fall is almost here!

Life is Quiet

Not a lot going on right now, getting out in the mornings while it's relatively cool-as in mid to upper 80's instead of 100's)-...
