Update
I want to thank you for your prayers and healing thoughts for my daughter. She is making progress and hasn't had a panic attack in almost a week. We're seeing glimpses of the old daughter and even laughed and joked some last night. Something she hasn't been able to do for a long time. They are telling her it will be baby steps, but she is encouraged and hopeful with the progress she has made. She has had some headaches and nausea after her treatments, which is normal, but yesterday she didn't and was able to go to counseling and come back and help with dinner. It may not sound like much, but it's encouraging. It's a slow process and her therapists say she is doing well. Thank you all so much!

Prayer Request
I don't usually get too personal on my blog, but my daughter could really use your prayers. She is going through some difficult emotional issues right now. Major Depression and GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) are something she and I both live with, but mine is well controlled with medication-hers is not. She has been having panic attacks daily as well as deep depression and is basically unable to function well right now. She has had to quit her job. She has elected to try TMS or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in order to help her brain function more normally and started treatments this week. It will be a 6 week course of treatment. Please pray that this will help her. Thank you so much to all of my blogging friends!

We Have a Teenager!
13 years ago, this beautiful, sweet, feisty, tender-hearted girl was born. Time is going by way too fast, but I'm so glad we're here to see every minute. She is our first grandchild and it's hard to believe she is officially a teen. We laugh, cry and feel incredibly proud as we watch her growing and testing her wings. Happy Birthday, sweet Alissa! We love you!!

Life is Quiet

That's how I always feel on September 1st. Maybe it comes from living most of my life in places where summers could be pretty brutal. (...
