Keep On Keeping On

One of my dad's favorite sayings-we're just keeping on getting through the 43 weeks of January. Things are much better now-we survived the Covid, the stomach bug and the Arctic air mass. It was good to finally get back to church yesterday. We're having a warm up in temperatures and some rain. Foggy, drizzly and chilly today, though.

Our Lubbock grandsons got awards in their county livestock show this past weekend with their cattle-Champions and Reserve Champions! Our little 4 year old granddaughter showed an animal for the first time. Her 9 year old brother helped her show her goat and it was so cute. She was very proud and announced she is now ready to show cattle like her big brothers!

I'm keeping my head out of the news right now-January is a tough month for my depression, especially in an election year. I guess I could be accused of sticking my head in the sand, but I know God's in control and nothing that happens is a surprise to Him. He's already there and working it out.

Ugh.

Covid gone, stomach bug on the mend. Winter storm on the way. Must be January.

Actually, we are feeling much better now-thanks so much for the kind wishes! Hunkering down and hoping that the Texas power grid can hold up for the next few days.

We Got Trouble

Right here in River City. And that starts with T and that rhymes with C and stands for Covid. 😷 Fortunately it's very mild-more like a cold or bad allergies. We've had it several times over the last 3 years and it's never been anything near as bad as the flu, for which we are very thankful. Good genes I guess. So I'll make a pot of chicken soup and we'll lay low for the week. We should be better just in time for the Big Freeze. 💨

Life is Quiet

Not a lot going on right now, getting out in the mornings while it's relatively cool-as in mid to upper 80's instead of 100's)-...
