Not Exactly a Red Letter Day

Look who came to our house today. No, we didn't have an emergency (of the really bad kind). It's just that we've been here for almost 10 years now and figured we'd better have it done before something happened that made us wish that we had. 😁

Well, the deed was done in only an hour and with no lingering memories. That is, the neighbors should have nothing to raise a stink about. No hilarious stories about it to relate, so I recommend that you read the chapter titled "Homecoming" in Garrison Keillor's book "Leaving Home". Nothing can top the septic tank story in it. It's one of the funniest things I've ever read.

Whew!

It's amazing what a difference a few minutes of daylight added to the day makes. I can always tell when I've "turned the corner" on my SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) depression and anxiety. I woke up Friday and felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and mind. With everything going on in the world and in our family, I know this is not related to those things getting suddenly better. It's not a giddy, excited burst of happiness, but just a deep feeling of peace and quiet joy that I haven't felt since around the end of November. It happens every year about the same time, give or take a week or so. It's always such a relief and makes Springtime that much sweeter!

So...just exactly where are we?

It could be the Spring of Deception or maybe just Fool's Spring. It's been hard to pin down Winter this year-have we had Second Winter yet, or just Winter? Hmmmm. It's March which means that the Pollening can't be too far away...Guess I'll just enjoy the gorgeous day-warm and beautiful!

Life is Quiet

Not a lot going on right now, getting out in the mornings while it's relatively cool-as in mid to upper 80's instead of 100's)-...
