So proud of these three men and love them dearly! We all worshipped together and then had a great Father's Day lunch at a local Cajun Seafood restaurant. It was a great day!

Cleaning up my act...
I am pretty much a "whipped cream on the garbage can" type housekeeper. It looks alright if you don't look too closely. (Also, if it's up where I can't see it, it doesn't exist. Like the top of the refrigerator.) However, there are things that eventually, even I can't stand to look at anymore. Today, it's the outside of the windows and the screens. Oh my. We've lived in this house nearly 9 years and I've generally just given them a lick and a promise every year (or so). So today, I took down screens and scrubbed them with a brush and soapy water and hosed them down. (I know-I can hardly believe it myself!) Then swept and hosed down around the windows much to the chagrin on many spiders who thought they were well hidden.
I did ask the hubby to take care of a wasp nest in the top corner of one window. I know my limits and have serious doubts about being able to outrun an angry wasp! (I was really surprised that there was only one nest. We are usually covered up with them by now. I think our deep freeze in February got some of them.)
I plan to get the squeegee and window cleaner out this afternoon and actually wash them. (This is just the downstairs windows. The outsides of the second story windows are on their own. We can still see out of them as far as I can tell.) 😉
Next week, I'll take on the inside of the windows. I hope to be able to actually move around again by then!

June
It's been such an unusually cool (high 70's-low 80's) rainy May and June looks to be shaping up to be the same. By now, it's usually in the mid to upper 90's and the spring rain is just a memory. I'll take it, though. I'm sure summer will be here soon enough and we will be wishing for the cool rainy weather again!
Life is Quiet
Not a lot going on right now, getting out in the mornings while it's relatively cool-as in mid to upper 80's instead of 100's)-...
