Woo Hoo!
Out of quarantine and feeling pretty good! Sense of taste and smell are back too, which can be a mixed blessing when you haven't cleaned the house much in a week and a half. Really glad to get this behind us. Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers and comments. I love our blog community!

Thank you!
Thank you for your sweet comments and well-wishes! We are hanging in there. We had planned to vote on the first day of early voting, but of course that didn't happen. We will still have time to go when we get out of quarantine. We are so very thankful to just have milder symptoms, although I have to say this stuff is no picnic! Now that the fever is gone, it's nice to step outside for a bit and get some sunshine and fresh air. I'm planning to go and sit on the porch swing for a little bit today. This stuff really does sap your energy.
Hope you all stay well-take care!

What a month this week has been...
Just kidding-sort of. We had our youngest grandson for the week while his older brother had a minor surgery. Grandson seemed to be fine-just sneezing and a little coughing which we chalked up to allergies. My husband started feeling like he had a really bad cold early in the week and really tired. Took grandson to play with his cousin, our oldest grandson. By the end of the week when we took littlest grandson back home, hubby and I were both feeling bad. (You can probably see where this is going.)
My husband went and got a test for the coronavirus Saturday evening and it was positive. Called our kids to warn them and our son said they just found out that the little boy across the street from them tested positive. Of course this is the one that both our youngest grandson and his brother play with all of the time. Yikes. Anyway, hubby lost his sense of taste and smell yesterday, but is now fever free and feeling much better. I have a message in to my doctor to see if she thinks I need to be tested. I'm 99.9% that sure I've got it, but she will need to prove medical necessity before my insurance will pay for me to have the test, so waiting to hear back. I'm feeling a little better this morning, but things are either tasting and smelling strange or no taste at all. My daughter called and said they are taking their son (Our oldest grandson who spent time playing with our youngest grandson) to get tested today.
We seem to have a mild version of the 'Rona, for which we are very grateful, but would appreciate your thoughts and prayers!
Update-I took a Covid 19 test this afternoon and just got a positive result back which doesn't surprise me. We are doing ok and will be quarantining. Our grandson tested negative so that's good!

Remember a month ago, when I posted this in great fear and trepidation:
Well, I was right. It was indeed False Fall and we are now deep into Second Summer. Temperatures have been in the high 80's to low 90's with nary a rain drop in sight. Hoping that the weather people are right and that we will see some Actual Fall sometime next week! (The leaves are beginning to change in spite of the temperatures!)
Life is Quiet
Not a lot going on right now, getting out in the mornings while it's relatively cool-as in mid to upper 80's instead of 100's)-...

That's how I always feel on September 1st. Maybe it comes from living most of my life in places where summers could be pretty brutal. (...

69 years ago today, I was born at 1:27 am. My mom got to the hospital at 1 am. Cutting it a little close! Today, my sweet husband took me ...
