Aftermath
The pies have been pillaged, the turkey is in tatters everyone has gone home and it is very quiet. It was a great Thanksgiving-now to take a deep breath and get ready for Christmas!

Brrrrrr...
It's cold and icy today-went to church this morning and had Sunday dinner with the kids and grands-now we're staying in for the rest of today and maybe tomorrow! We are still under a winter storm warning until tomorrow with more freezing rain to come.

Color My World
Here are a few pictures I took around our place this morning. Things were still fairly green just a week ago, but in the last few days the leaves have really changed. The cold weather and wind predicted for this weekend will probably bring all of them down, so I decided I'd better get some photo's made.

This and That...
Welcome to my new followers and thank you so much! Not much new to say today, just a few thoughts. We had our first real cold snap yesterday and first hard freeze last night. Oaks are turning dark red and gold, and it's nice to settle in and enjoy a cozy evening after a busy day. November will be half over by the end of the week and my turkey for Thanksgiving is in the freezer-hoping to have all of our kids and grandkids together here in a couple of weeks.
Autumn is hurrying by and hopefully a few health issues of my husband's will be resolved soon, or at least a plan of action in place by the end of the year. We're looking forward to having a quieter year next year-of course we say that every year and it hasn't happened yet!. :-)

Happy Friday
Sorry I haven't been very good about posting lately. Things are getting hectic with our daughter's schooling now as it's just a few weeks until finals and projects are due. We've been keeping the grands most days but are enjoying a "day off" today. We've been enjoying puttering around the house and even went for a drive. We're enjoying mild autumn days and chilly nights here; the leaves are still changing color, so it was a pretty drive. Nothing exciting going on, but that's just fine with me!

Halloween
Here are a few pictures of our Halloween cuties!
Lots of fun was had by all. Today we are back as our poor daughter had to have a bad tooth taken out. She's not feeling to well today, but she should be back to normal soon. Just 6 weeks until her graduation!

| I love this one-totally candid! (I couldn't have gotten Alaina to pose like that!) |

Life is Quiet
Not a lot going on right now, getting out in the mornings while it's relatively cool-as in mid to upper 80's instead of 100's)-...

That's how I always feel on September 1st. Maybe it comes from living most of my life in places where summers could be pretty brutal. (...
