Finally!
Sorry I haven't blogged much, but I have been following your blogs. I finally seem to be on the downhill side of this diverticulitis thing. My husband also had a health hiccup but is back to normal now. Getting old is not for wimps.
Got out and walked this morning on this gorgeous, crisp autumn day. The weather seems to be taking it's time, but it appears that it will finally be fall for good. Or until it's not. 😁 Anyway, we had some much needed rain and the wind blew a hoolie for the last two days, but today the sky is that deep beautiful autumn blue. The leaves are finally starting to turn and quite a few fell during the blustery days.
Not a lot else going on-just concentrating on getting back to normal and taking better care of ourselves. Time to start thinking about the upcoming holidays. We will have at least our local family for Thanksgiving, but will have all of our kids and grands here for Christmas! I'm so excited!
Take good care of yourselves and if you will, pray for the people of Jamaica and all in the path of Hurricane Melissa. The pictures of the devastation are so sad.

It's Been Awhile
Here we are at the halfway point of October already! I've been out of commission with a nasty diverticulitis flare. (Sorry, probably TMI) but I'm starting to feel better now and have antibiotics on board. Anyway, just wanted to check in-not that I'm a prolific blogger! I will be trying harder to take better care of myself in the future. I'm bad about being in denial where my health is concerned, so this has been a wake-up call for me. Anyway-I don't always leave a comment on your blogs, but I do read them everyday, and appreciate your comments on mine so much!

It's October!
Time to turn the AC down to high freeze and pretend it isn't 90 degrees outside! (In Texas, anyway.) 😂
Life is Quiet
Not a lot going on right now, getting out in the mornings while it's relatively cool-as in mid to upper 80's instead of 100's)-...

That's how I always feel on September 1st. Maybe it comes from living most of my life in places where summers could be pretty brutal. (...

69 years ago today, I was born at 1:27 am. My mom got to the hospital at 1 am. Cutting it a little close! Today, my sweet husband took me ...
