We have a couple of inches of snow this morning on top of the freezing rain that fell last night. It's very pretty-especially from inside the house! My daughter sent me these pictures of the grands enjoying the snow day with their dog Piper. (Yes, only teenaged girls are silly enough to run outside and play in the snow in shorts! She didn't last long!)
Our yard is lovely after the snow, too! We first got a layer of ice and work up to 8". My husband went out with the snowblower but it was sliding on the ice. Now we are getting even more snow. So grateful for the power companies, the street crews, and everyone that allows me to stay warm inside my house!
ReplyDeleteTeens have a different temperature control than the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteCute pictures of the grands. I would love some snow!
How exciting for you all!! Stay warm and cozy and safe! But enjoy it while it lasts!!
ReplyDeleteIt was quite a storm here too.
ReplyDeleteOur kids used to love doing short runs in the snow with bare feet. (I didn't let them do it a lot!) :)
Always fun for the youngsters (and their dog!). Glad you are staying home, safe and warm! xo
ReplyDeleteGrowing up in Texas, we rarely got snow and my siblings have been known to do crazy things when we did! They probably still do even in their 50's!
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
Pam
Love the kid in shorts. lol. My teenage grands come out in freezing weather with a hoodie on and pretend they are warm enough! OH! All for the sake of looking "cool"...they really ARE cool. xo Diana
