We had a wonderful Christmas-it could only have been better if our DIL could have been here. She's a labor and delivery nurse and had to work the holidays this year. We had our son and our 2 youngest grandsons here as well as our daughter and SIL and their 3. Lots of toys, noise and good food. Husband and I sang at our church's Candlelight Christmas Eve service and it was very special to have our son and boys there. (I'm listening to our 5 year old humming "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" as he's busy playing-so sweet! The 4 year old serenaded us with "Jingle Bells" earlier this morning-big finish and everything! We do love our music in this family!)
Today is dark, windy and rainy, and we are vegging out, enjoying the quiet of "the day after". We may get out later and have something besides leftovers for lunch, but it's nice to sit and enjoy a mug of tea. Hope your Christmas was a good one and that your "Day After" is a good one too!

Glad you had a great Christmas. The day after is great, no cleaning, the dishes are all done and put away, there is lots to eat, and Christmas movies are still on the television!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice way to wake up-music and tea. I am grateful for people like your daughter in law that still work on holidays. I had a false alarm on Christmas eve 18 years ago with my youngest0who was then in no hurry to coming waiting until January 14th, on her due date instead of three weeks early.
